"Strangers eat at our table, bathe in our showers, sleep in our beds, share our everything. And I fleetingly wonder if it wouldn’t be better for my girls if I maintained some semblance of normal, but He shows me that HIS definition of family is not at all limited by my own."

I could link all her posts too.
Thank you for the reminder to look at her posts. This post of hers is my favorite so far - powerful, humbling, and inspiring.
Keep linking, please!
I have her on my google reader too. Just in case.
I've enjoyed every post of hers that you've linked to...but I wish I knew her story. There isn't a summary of her situation on the her blog. Could you fill us in on how she came to care for (adopt?) so many girls in another country at such a young age?
I love her blog, what an amazing young woman! Another blog I love:

- the story of her 5 year old, Hailee, is amazing. Just 9 months ago she was confined to a crib in an orphanage and could hardly sit up. All her caretakers had given up on her and she was drugged around the clock. Now she's walking! God is amazing.
Re Kelly: inspiring is one way of putting it. Imprudent might be another.
I am very keen to know how many of her enthusiastic commenters actually hail from big Christian families whose parents opened their home to the odd alcoholic (or junkie as was the case with us) and whose mothers were too busy saving others to properly nurture their own children.
I have no objection to this kind of work for those in the religious or single states. But those with kids should put their kids welfare first.
I happened upon this link at Conversion Diary. It explains Katie's story:

Thanks for the link to her story, anonymous. That's incredible. I wish I knew how she ended up returning rather than attending college...and adopting children there. Amazing.
