Blessed

I have so much to tell you all, and I'll get to that soon. Right now it is so very hard to pull myself away from Kilian long enough to get on the internet. No words can describe what's going on here or the love I have for my new son. At this moment he's my whole world....the sweetest, most precious, most heart-captivating little bundle of joy in the universe.

But something happened just a little while ago that is too beautiful not to share. We learned that Amanda signed her relinquishment papers and has checked out of the hospital. The doctor says we can take baby Kilian home (well, to my aunt and uncle's home) in just a few hours. Amanda is returning home having given everything. She takes no infant home with her. No car seat or pack of diapers. But tonight Patrick and I will leave this hospital abundantly blessed, with gifts greater than we deserve.

I have no idea whether you're need money to pay for this adoption- I'm new to the IF girls network here and wanted to share this fabulous link http://www.storinguptreasures.com/2010/05/paying-it-forward.html#disqus_thread

My friend Courtney is raising ten thousand dollars for adoptive families. The first 26 families who sign up will get the money. Check it out!

I'm so happy to see your bundle of joy and successful adoption!

I am tearing up reading this. What a beautiful gift you all have been given. Although God (although not without struggle) has blessed us with biological children, I have always wanted to adopt but have had my hesitations. Your family and your story always give me the encouragement that when the time is right, we will be able to welcome a child into our family through adoption. God bless you all and Amanda.

It's so true. As adoptive parents we walk away from the deal with the better end of the deal. It's humbling really. Prayers for Amanda and her generous gift and sacrifice.

Kilian is a cherub and those photos of you both holding him are just priceless. Enjoy your babymoon!
