Pilgrimage to Rwanda

I had been considering this beautiful pilgrimage to Rwanda guided by Immaculee Ilibagiza, survivor of the Rwandan Holocaust and author of Left to Tell. I won't be able to make the journey this fall, but the director gave me permission to share the information with others who might be interested. They have space available for a few more pilgrims.

A little info:

The trip is scheduled for November 23 - December 3. Among the itinerary highlights will be a trip to Mother Teresa's orphanage in Kigali, a tour of the Genocide Memorial (said to be a difficult tour, but beautiful), a journey to Immaculee's village and hiding house, and a visit to the place where the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared in the 1980's in Kibeho - the only Church approved apparition site in Africa. There will be morning prayer and daily mass of course.

If any of you feel called or are interested in participating, just send me an email and I'll forward all the details and contact information. Thanks!

Oh- I wish I were able to go! I read her book for the first time last month and am working on her other books now! I have been passing that book around to everyone I know over the past few months. My mom, who is very ill with cancer right now, read her book and thinks about Immaculee every day. My mom says that she is very inspirational to those who are suffering and my mom loves Immaculee. All those pilgrims are so blessed to go on such a trip!

Oh Michelle, I'm so sorry about your mother. Be assured of our prayers for her. Perhaps you should consider writing Immaculee about your mom's condition. I wonder, whether the pilgrims couldn't take her intentions to the Marian apparition site in Africa.

Incidentally, we spent the evening with Rich & Kristina last night. So good to see them! We should really all get together soon!
