Idaho on the Lake...and way more pictures than you wanted to see

....but beforehand, a thought. I couldn't bear to post photos of a vacation, of happy children, happy family times last week. It just seemed wrong somehow, knowing another mother was, is grieving.

But today I post, because life is far too short, childhood is too short. We must be grateful for every moment we have. Enjoy life, enjoy our children, our husbands, love unceasingly, smile a lot, and show the world the joy that is motherhood.

Views from the lakeside lodge:

We spent a lot of time at the hotel's darling little beach here. Gianna loved swimming out to the yellow raft and laying in the sunshine.
Madeleine loved it too.
A relaxed husband is a very good thing.
Exploring lodge grounds.
The boat:

What's a speedboat ride without a little snooze? This girl can sleep through anything.

Kayaking:
The Mission:
We drove out to this beautiful
Jesuit mission in the country.

I got a kick out of this first rule of conduct in Ch III. And perhaps I related to it a bit. :)
Sea-Doo fun:
Both girls enjoyed their rides.
Madeleine, not unsurprisingly fell asleep on her ride at 35 mph.
And two shots that cracked me up:
One of many typical funny faces

What great pictures! You have a beautiful family, Kristen! I can't believe your little one fell asleep on a SeaDoo. Those things are noisy!
