The Benefits and Drawbacks of Gardening

Our grapes this year (open up for a closer view)....

Our grapes last year....

One year ago, this picture was taken (and later became my profile photo because I didn't feel like taking a new photograph when I started this blog in December). I miss those grapes.

Our vines were plagued with a fungus this year. I think it was black spot. None of the bunches were edible. Last year we consumed the most luscious grapes from our own garden for weeks. Needless to say I was disappointed, but on the bright side it is always beneficial to learn from your gardening mistakes. I'll treat the vines this year and hope next year's crop will fare better.

Of course I can't depart on a sad note, so here's a picture of some Iceberg roses I planted a few weeks ago. They're so beautifully bright, they illuminate the whole yard after dusk! If I ever have a large yard, I will most certainly plant tons of these in my garden!

Have a wonderful day, everyone!

I'm sorry about your grapes :-( But the roses are GORGEOUS!!! I have never heard of that kind of Rose before but I'm in love with them! I'm tucking their name into my memory to use someday!
