no, not at all!! i think its beautifully perfect, especially to go with those awesome headboards you recovered! :)
It's beautiful... I love your style of decorating!
Too formal? Not at all. It's a beautiful print. I'm considering getting one for my girls' room. Thanks for doing all the work for me.
Oh goodness no! I think that is a beautiful print, and will inspire your little girls for years to come (like the print that hung in my room did for me!)I think it fits perfectly with the pictures I've seen of the rest of your girls' room -- with the wonderful beds you set up, the bedding, the alphabet/floral prints you have, etc.If you ever come over to the East Coast, would you consider working on parts of MY house? *grin*
Aha! You found it. I'm impressed. And now I have some closure.
I think she is beautiful, and little girls love beauty.
It is beautiful, not too grown up at all, actually something they can have until they are gronw up and afterward!!Thanks for doing all the work!!You will have to post pictures after you get it hung in their room!
Wonderful! How did you find it?I don't think it is too formal at all.
I, too, am impressed that you were able to find it! I don't think it is too formal, either, but I could see my little girls imitating her: sitting in front of a mirror and getting dressed up like little princesses, and that's not something I want to encourage.I'd be inclined to choose something from one of the Masters such as "In the Meadow" by Renoir that is soft, peaceful and might spark their imagination in a more positive way.
I don't think it is too formal. My girls do have the Pottery Barn Kids ribbon frames, but I have filled them all with old master religious art :)
I think it is beautiful and just perfect for a little girls' room. There is a lot to be said for teaching them (by example, in this case) what really beautiful art is.
Not at all!!!! So lovely!
Oh definitely not too formal...at least for me. I don't decorate my own daughters' bedrooms in a 'juvenile' way either. Even the fabrics I've chosen for their bedding and window treatments are a floral with which they can grow. I have fine art prints in their bedrooms and bathroom and they appreciate them. Everything is very feminine and they love it and yet, I won't have to change everything when they become older. I love that print, Kristen. We have several ballet things (prints, figurines, etc.) in our house so I may look into that lovely picture you found as well. :)
No, not too formal at all! I think that something like would get the girls' imaginations going much more than a more modern Pottery Barn Kids motif.
Thank you for your kind comments, everyone. I had such great help with my headboards, I had to ask!Stephanie, I hadn't thought about the print that way, but your comment makes a lot of sense. Thank you very much for your reflection.
Not at all! Especially for feminine "dress up loving" girls!Very pretty.
I think it's lovely. By my 5 year old's request, my girls have two Degas ballerinas decorating their walls. She saw postcard sized prints of his work and said she wanted it for her wall. How could I say no to that?
Kristen, I think it's perfect. I might need your help when we redecorate (in a few years :)
Not at all, it is beautiful.
