Novena To Saint Gianna

If you would like to pray a novena to this beautiful saint for her feast on April 28th, today is the day to begin. Pope John Paul II canonized Saint Gianna with the title, "Mother of the Family" in May of 2004. Her intercession brought us our Gianna, and she is particularly helpful to mothers, families, children, and babies in danger of abortion.
Her novena prayer can be found here, and I will provide a link to it in my sidebar until her feast day. I will be offering the novena for a personal intention, and for the intentions of any of you who are praying it with me.

I just found your blog through "FL Wife", and it's WONDERFUL!
Several of your posts have made me weep.
We just became parents on 2-20-07 to Mary Elizabeth, born to my second cousin.
It's amazing, thrilling, and so much more than I could have dreamed.
I was three days into a Novena to St. Gerard when I found out about the pregnancy.
God is good!

Kristin, THANK YOU so much for posting to my blog today. I'm not very good at keeping up with days and who has an upcoming feast day, so I REALLY appreciate you letting me know, because I would have TOTALLY missed it.

I will be praying the novena for your personal intention. Thank you for praying for mine.

Thank you, ladies.

Ma Beck, congratulations! What a beautiful name for your daughter, and what a miracle she is for all those around her. Deo Gratias!

I am praying the novena to Saint Gianna and I will see you soon. My Mother and I have been able to pray together every day. What a great blessing. God is good.

Thank you for the link to this beautiful novena, Kristen. I am starting a day late but firmly believe that God is not a bureaucrat and will excuse me! :)

Margaret, you are not late. A novena begun today (Friday 4/20) will end ON the actual feast day. It is a personal preference whether you like to end a novena the day before a feast or on the feast day itself. It is more customary to end the day before, but I've done both.

I'll be joining you in that novena, praying for the blessing of another child! I think St. Gianna would approve of that intention... Thank you for linking to the prayer.

I am sitting and waiting for AF to either come or not after my first round of clomid. Each time I get out the novena to pray, I cry. Nothing today and its my "AF day" so I'm praying and hoping. Patience....I know.
